Tower Scaffold

Tower Scaffold is a lightweight high-altitude work platform that combines tower structure stability and mobility.It is mainly composed of modular steel or aluminum alloy frames,pedals,guardrails,and universal wheels with brakes.It is named after its overall"tower"three-dimensional structure.It combines the load-bearing capacity of traditional scaffolding with the convenience of mobile platforms,suitable for frequent mobile work scenarios at low to medium heights(usually 3-8 meters).The following is a detailed introduction:

1、Structural composition and design features

Core structure

Tower body:A three-dimensional frame is formed by connecting multiple layers of vertical poles and horizontal bars through buckles or bolts.The spacing between the vertical poles is usually 0.8-1.2 meters,and the height of each layer is 1.5-2 meters.The number of layers can be increased or decreased according to the operating height(such as a total height of about 4.5-6 meters for 3 layers).

Work platform:Anti slip pedals(steel plates or aluminum alloy plates)are laid on each layer of the frame as the work surface.A 1.2-meter-high guardrail and an 18cm high toe board are installed at the edge of the platform to prevent personnel or tools from falling.

Mobile system:4-6 universal wheels with dual brakes(wheel brake+steering brake)are installed at the bottom,with a typical wheel diameter of 10-15cm,making it easy to push on flat ground(such as cement or floor tiles).After braking,the position can be locked to ensure stability.

Stiffener:slant support or diagonal brace is added on the side of tower in some models to enhance the overall anti lateral displacement ability,especially in high-rise buildings(more than 6m)to improve stability.

Design Highlights

Modular assembly:The uprights,crossbars,and pedals are all standardized components that can be assembled using quick connectors(such as spring pins and wedge buckles)without the need for tools or just a wrench.With the cooperation of 3-4 people,they can be assembled to a height of 6 meters within 30 minutes.

Scalability:The platform area can be expanded by adding frame units(such as splicing into an"L"shape),or by installing extension pedals to expand the operating range and adapt to different shapes of operating areas(such as wall corners and equipment peripherals).

Lightweight and Load Balance:Made of high-strength steel or aluminum alloy,the overall weight is 40%lighter than that of a floor standing scaffold at the same height(such as a 6-meter high tower weighing about 80-120 kilograms),but the rated load of a single platform can reach 300-500 kilograms(meeting the needs of 2-3 people working with tools).

2、Applicable scenarios

Indoor large-scale space operations,such as ceiling maintenance,lighting installation,and pipeline laying in shopping malls,factories,and sports centers,can be quickly moved on the ground without the need for repeated disassembly.

Low height operations on exterior facades:such as exterior wall painting,billboard installation,window maintenance,etc.for low rise buildings(1-3 floors),which are flexible to move and do not require a large amount of ground space.

Maintenance of equipment intensive areas:such as workshop production lines,equipment maintenance in computer rooms,and compact tower structures(usually 1-1.5 meters wide)that can shuttle between equipment gaps.

Temporary warehousing and logistics:It can be used as a temporary elevated platform for picking up goods from warehouse shelves(height 3-5 meters),replacing fixed cargo elevators and improving flexibility.
