The differences between ringlock scaffolding and cup-lock scaffolding are as follows:
Different Connection Methods
Ringlock scaffolding uses vertical pole connection, with nodes located in the plane of the frame;cup-lock scaffolding adopts a bolt-insertion connection method.
Different Materials
Ringlock scaffolding is made of national standard Q235 carbon steel;cup-lock scaffolding is made of national standard Q345B low-alloy structural steel.
Different Structures
Ringlock scaffolding is a simplified version of cup-lock scaffolding. The main difference lies in the flower plates welded on the vertical poles:those with four holes are ringlock, while those with eight holes are cup-lock.
Different Application Scopes
Ringlock scaffolding is mostly used in housing construction. It can simply meet the requirements of low-height butt joints and is quick to assemble and disassemble;cup-lock scaffolding is equipped with diagonal drawbars and is mainly used for external frames, high formwork supports,or heavy-duty supports. It is generally connected via discs,so it is also called disc scaffolding.
